Hi! We’re the family behind Designs by JNF.

Our story started in a backyard wood shop in Ohio, where we created custom wood cutouts by hand. I designed each piece and drew it onto the wood, and my husband carefully cut every design himself. It was hard work, but we loved creating meaningful pieces for our customers.

Everything changed when my husband was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The physical demands of cutting wood became increasingly difficult, and eventually we had to step away from the wood cutouts we loved making. But giving up on creating was never an option.

That challenge led us to a new chapter. We transitioned from our wood shop to our print shop, where we continue doing what we love—creating designs that celebrate real life, real passions, and the people who refuse to let obstacles define them.

Today, we design bold, authentic apparel and gifts inspired by Gen X nostalgia, mountain biking, pets, family life, RA warriors, T1D fighters, trail riders, and anyone who knows what it’s like when life tries to hold you back. Every design is created with personality, humor, and authenticity because we believe the best products aren’t just things you wear—they tell a story, start conversations, and celebrate who you are.

Designs by JNF is truly a family business built on hard work, resilience, and never quitting. And who knows—maybe one day our kids will take the reins and continue the journey we started.
